Some preparation that has to be made when going long distance trip
A good preparation on a trip, especially far away and long ones, will determined its success and the experience. Failed to do this in the other hand, not only will interfere with the vacation itself, it also will ruin the mood and disturb the joy of the ride. In order to make the trip smooth, safe, and enjoyable, we really need to pay attention on the preparation.
On short vacation of less than three day, we won’t need much preparation, readying the car, the food, the money, probably looking for some information on the net, and it’s all we need. It becomes a whole another story with a long distance trip preparation. Here are some tips of people who have done it many times.
Tickets are the easy parts, one day working on it and you’ll have it in your hand. The inn in the other hands, need careful observation. We usually spend one or half a month just to do the information search. We compare their prices, facilities, location, etc. We usually check on a few sites on the same time, making list of candidate, and do a final comparison. Our main consideration will be whether they have internet connection, public kitchen, and their type of bathroom.
Once the inn taken care of, now we need a tourist guide book. The central library or a book store is a good place to find some. They come plenty with different author and publisher. Pick one or two that you think suitable for you. We usually pick ones with maps in it. It means another saving on trip budget. Internet is another good source. Find information on public transportation rate, places that should be avoided, 24/7 stores etc.
Once everything ready, now make some preparation for your house. Create a schedule for the maid on cleaning up the house, especially places with area rugs. Tell them to give extra attention on your cheap rugs. Do the maintenance from time to time since rugs are prone to damage if not properly maintained.
A five star hotel room in your home
Back from the long trip to home again. Home sweet home, your home is the best place in the whole world. Or is it? Well, all you need to pay are the bills, and you can stay in it for the whole years. But as a traveler you might miss on the tourist spots, restaurants, and hotel rooms you’ve been. Well, if you live in center of the city you can give up on the tourist spots things, but I’m pretty sure we can do something for the other two.
First is the restaurants, you probably have some favorite restaurants on your area. You know the people, you like the food and everything. But the more you come and become familiar with that place you lost something. That is the “new experience” feel. To get it back, be adventurous and try some place new. You might hate the food there, but you get your main objective here, the “new” feeling. And admit it you don’t always like the food at those tourist spots.
If you’ve been away for a very long time you’ll get the same “new” feeling for your home as well. But what else is missing? The decoration of course! Decoration is all about inspiration. And after all the hotels you’ve been trough, you might get the picture on what a fancy hotel room should like. With just one vacation trip money you could remake your homeroom to be like of those five stars hotels!
Hotels can’t afford and don’t want to keep changing their theme, so they always pick the all time – classic theme. And that is what we’re after. We’re going to make some replacement in furniture, and some accessories. You should get the furniture from your local store, but I suggest internet for the accessories since they have more option. Hotel always play with rugs, since rugs can really make a fancy looking room. A famous one will be area rugs now. They have everyone’s favorite in there area rugs section and sometimes they give discount at discount rugs section. So check that section a lot. Who knows your friends like your new “hotel” and start staying over?
