  2. Do you agree that frivolous lawsuits are harming California’s economic growth?
  3. Do you favor reasonable limits on the amount of money juries can award for punitive damages?
  4. Do you favor reasonable limits on the amount of money juries can award for so-called “non-economic damages,” which are damages in addition to compensation for medical costs and lost earnings?
  5. Would you oppose attempts to weaken California’s Medical Injury Compensation Reform Act (MICRA) by increasing or eliminating its $250,000 limit on recovery of non-economic damages?
  6. Do you agree that construction defect litigation is too often frivolous and that such lawsuits are hampering our state’s ability to provide affordable housing?
  7. Do you support the use of arbitration agreements in employment and health care contracts?
  8. Have you been endorsed by the special interest Consumer Attorneys of California (CAOC)?
  9. Are you seeking contributions from the Consumer Attorneys of California?
  10. Would you pledge now not to accept contributions or an endorsement from the Consumer Attorneys of California or its political action committee?
  11. Do you agree that excessive litigations impacts the cost of health care in California?
  12. Do you agree that junk science is a problem in our courtrooms?
  13. If you answered yes to question 12, would you support a proposal which, in concept, would require stricter criteria for “experts in the courtroom?”

2.  Do you agree that frivolous lawsuits are harming California’s economic growth?

3.  Do you favor reasonable limits on the amount of money juries can award for punitive damages?
4.  Do you favor reasonable limits on the amount of money juries can award for so-called “non-economic damages,” which are damages in addition to compensation for medical costs and lost earnings?

5   Would you oppose attempts to weaken California’s Medical Injury Compensation Reform Act (MICRA) by increasing or eliminating its $250,000 limit on recovery of non-economic damages?

8.  Would you support reform, either through legislation or the initiative process, of California’s “17200Law,” the so-called Unfair Competition Law to require that an actual victim and proof of harm be shown before a lawsuit can be filed?
