How Can You Help?

As a non-profit, volunteer organization, CALA counts on average people and businesses for resource help. There are many ways you can help. Here are just a few ideas:

* LISTS:

If you have any lists of people or businesses who you feel would welcome CALA's message of civil justice reform, please send them to us at LosAngelesCALA@yahoo.com. We want to expand the number of people we communicate to about the CALA organization. Also, if you have any e-mail lists, those are especially helpful because it is the most cost effective and time efficient manner of communication.

* MONEY:

CALA has a three-year strategic plan to build our organization. LACALA is a 501(c)6 nonprofit organization. Contributions are not deductible as a charitable contribution, however a contribution may be considered an ordinary business expense. Please check with your tax advisor. Your contribution, in any amount, is completely anonymous. Here is an example of some of the things your contribution will help us achieve:

  • Ads in smaller newspapers

  • Participation in target events

  • Sponsorship of target events

  • Quarterly Newsletter Postage

  • Quarterly Newsletter Printing

  • Outreach

  • Billboard for one month

  • One week of paid radio

  • 20 radio spots

* EVENTS:

If you belong to an organization, association or group that needs a speaker about lawsuit abuse, please let us know. There is no charge to your organization for CALA to speak. We can talk about frivolous lawsuits, about the cost to consumers and taxpayers, how municipalities have become the target of lawsuits, and how trial lawyers influence the political and governmental system. Just call us at 310-795-8532 or e-mail us at LosAngelesCALA@yahoo.com.

* ADVERTISING:

If you have a business that uses ad space on billboards, radio, cable television, newsletters or publications, and you would like to donate that ad space for a limited time to CALA, that will help us increase our name awareness and deliver our message. We have professionally produced radio and television commercials, and professionally produced artwork for billboards, and ad space in publications.
